The Great Depression was one of the most trying times this country has ever faced. Millions of people found themselves without a job and without a home. In an effort to make the best of what they had and provide for their immediate needs, approximately two million people lived in shanty towns called Hoovervilles. This week Ms. Polis' US History classes will be building their own Hooverville in the courtyard. Students will also make signs explaining the project and Portland's connection to Hoovervilles. Please be respectful of their work and stay out of the shelters. Attn:  Students-Do NOT leave ANYTHING UNATTENDED in the Locker Rooms. ALWAYS use a locker and LOCK your belongings away.  ONLY use a strong Masterlock type combo.  Do NOT use the colored type locks—they are NOT secure.  Keep an eye open and report any strange behavior.

Seniors - Graduation orders will be delivered on Friday, April 7th during LUNCH in center hall. If there is a balance on your order, bring either cash, money orders, debit/credit cards but no personal checks.  You may also go online and make payments before picking up your order.
