Summer Projects

In the summer of 2016 seven more schools  received facility improvements as part of the 2012 School Building Improvement Bond.

This was  the biggest summer of the Bond program so far. In addition to the 7 summer improvement projects, construction is well underway at Franklin High School, Roosevelt High School and Faubion PK-8. The successful completion of summer improvement work at 6 schools in 2013, 12 schools in 2014, 27 schools in 2015 and the 7 schools this summer employed hundreds of workers from local companies. These and future summer projects will fix leaking and deteriorating roofs, and make seismic safety, accessibility and science classroom improvements. The work is scheduled during the summer to minimize the impact on schools and students.
