  • ¡Sí Se Puede! Latino Student Recognition

    ¡Sí Se Puede! (Yes we can!) is an opportunity for students to celebrate and inspire each other, build new relationships and share the rich diversity of their talents and experiences with the greater Portland community. Join us Wednesday, May 24th, 5:30-8pm, as PPS honors 16 Latino students in grades 8-12. The celebration will take place at the BESC, 501 North Dixon Street.
  • Golden Minds-API Student Awards

    PPS will recognize 35 Asian and Pacific Islander (API) graduating seniors at the 2017 Golden Minds. The keynote speaker is Chris Uehara, Portland Police Assistant Chief. The public is invited to the celebration Thursday, May 25, 5:30-8pm, at the BESC, 501 N. Dixon Street.
  • Native Student Honoring Ceremony 2017

    The Native American Student Honoring Ceremony was launched more than 30 years ago by the PPS Indian Education Office. The event, a celebration invoking traditions from across several Indian tribes, recognizes all graduating Native seniors and their families. Students will be honored at the Portland State Native American Student and Community Center on May 30th at 5:30.
  • Young, Gifted and Black Awards Ceremony

    The 8th annual Young, Gifted and Black student awards ceremony will be held at the BESC, 501 N. Dixon Street, Wednesday, May 31, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Young, Gifted and Black is a program aimed at highlighting the success of Black students throughout PPS. 30 elementary through high school students will be honored.
