College and Career Readiness

  • The Office of College & Career Readiness was established in 2015 to create systems that will build awareness, foster exploration and increase preparation for all 6-12th graders in Portland Public Schools.

College & Career Readiness Vision for 2020
Every student can and will be successful beyond high school.

    • Students will graduate High School with an informed "design-my-life" plan with next steps for college and career. Students will understand how to navigate next steps.
    • All PPS K-12 Schools offer equitable access to prevention and intervention opportunities to ensure post-high school success for every student.
    • PPS will have an aligned and flexible system that sets "every student, every age" up for success beyond high school.
