• Portland Public Schools High School Student Pass

High school students in the Portland Public School District can ride TriMet for free during the school year by showing their student ID.

Unlike other school districts, Portland Public Schools does not provide regular yellow school bus service. The Student Pass program is a partnership between TriMet, the school district and the City of Portland. Student Passes are valid on TriMet through June 25, 2019.

Note: The Portland Public Schools Student Pass is not valid on C-TRAN.

    Proof of eligibility required

Students in grades 9–12 (or pursuing a GED) and youth ages 15–17 must show proof of age or student status when boarding a bus or when requested by a fare inspector.

Note: A TriMet-issued ID card is required to prove GED student status. Contact your GED program administrator for more information.
