K-5 Foundational Skills
Foundational Skills curriculum ensures a systematic, explicit focus on the systems of language underlying literacy, including phonology, orthography, semantics, syntax, discourse and pragmatics. District adopted programs aim to provide our youngest students a more explicit, direct and systematic instructional approach that is rooted in the science of reading. Teachers are also receiving professional development to master the fundamentals of reading instruction.
Fundations - English foundational skills curriculum resource for grade K-1 in 20-21 and K-2 in 21-22. Teachers are receiving dedicated, on-going training to implement this curriculum

Heggerty - English and Spanish phonemic awareness curriculum resource for Grades K, 1, 2.
"Each level of the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum provides 35 weeks of daily lessons, focusing on eight phonemic awareness skills, along with two additional activities to develop letter and sound recognition, and language awareness. Lessons are designed for a classroom setting, and only take 10-12 minutes."
LETRS - Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling
