Due to the number of staff that expressed concern regarding space issues, we must first devise a solution for the existing bins. We are in constant contact with our new vendor, Access Information Management Corp. to find that solution. When dealing with corporations, things do not happen overnight and take time. Please continue to be patient, we will be commencing services very soon.
I know many of you are wondering if there are any updates concerning the secure shred bins. I can share with you that the contract has been approved and is currently with the vendor for signature. We will be getting a schedule put together and bins delivered ASAP.
Dear school staff:
Welcome back for the 22-23 school year. I'm sure a lot of you are aware that many of our district shred bins are still full from when you left for summer break.
We have chosen to terminate the contract with our current secure shred vendor due to their inability to comply with contractual obligations and meet PPS's needs.
We do have a new vendor that is ready to service the district the moment the new contract is fully executed. We expect this to be approved at the August 23rd Board meeting. There is a possibility your site will temporarily have more bins than you are expecting to have. I do apologize for any space issues this may cause. We are doing everything we can in our power to avoid this possibility.
While we are in this transition period, please DO NOT put any paper to be shredded or destroyed in the current shred bins. Our new vendor has assured me bins will begin to be delivered to all district sites as soon as the contract is signed and in place as they have materials ready and waiting.
Again, I apologize for the continued headache these shred bins have caused us all. We are asking you to please bear with us as we finalize this shift to a new vendor.
