  • Beaumont Peace Prize - Being The Change

    peace

Another goal at Beaumont is to create a safe and welcoming learning environment that celebrates the diversity of our student population

Every year the Beaumont Unity Club hosts a special assembly honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Part of this celebration involves honoring global leaders and figures in trying to create a more just and perfect world.

In addition to figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Harvey Milk, and Jane Addams, we honor 3 students (one per grade) from Beaumont who have demonstrated leadership in helping to bring peace to our school. These students are nominated by their peers, and then decided on by a committee of students and faculty.

Nomination forms for the Beaumont Peace Prize become available in mid-January of each year. The deadline for submission will be written on the form.
