The 2016 Asian & Pacific Islander Student Recognition Awards Program commemorates the accomplishments of 25 outstanding Asian Pacific Islander high school students in the Portland Public Schools District.
This year Asian & Pacific Islander Student Awards recognizes the academic achievements of Asian and Pacific Island high school seniors who worked hard to successfully complete high school. The program also serves to encourage the younger Asian-American generations to strive for academic achievement and success and instill a strong sense of civic responsibility and pride among all Asian-Americans in the community.
