West Sylvan

Hello from the West Sylvan Foundation! 
We are a volunteer parent organization who works with our families and community, to raise money for one purpose:  to hire additional teachers for West Sylvan Middle School. Middle School is a time of tremendous importance for every student.  Studies have shown that a successful middle school experience is essential for success in high school and beyond.  The West Sylvan Foundation is focused on providing our school the additional resources necessary to ensure that it remains an outstanding school.

What We Do
By supplementing Principal Ferraro's budget for teachers, the West Sylvan Foundation helps to both reduce class size and add to course offerings.

Our Goals

Our goal for 2015-2016 is to raise $220,000 which will enable Principal Ferraro to hire two full-time positions.  Each full-time instructor has about 150 students so without these positions, approximately 300 additional students will be put into existing classes.

Three Reasons to Give Now

1. Give Now and allow Principal Ferraro more time to plan for next year’s staffing possibilities.
2. Give Now and you can get a tax deduction for 2015.*
3. Give Now and cross it off your to-do list, and avoid phone solicitations from parent volunteers later in the year.

Equity Fund
