About the Bond

The PPS School Improvement Bond program began in 2012 and is overseen by the Office of School Modernization.  Most PPS schools were built before WW2 and many are over 100 years old.  These buildings are in need of significant upgrades. The PPS Long Range Facilities Plan calls for the modernization and rebuilding of all PPS school facilities over the next several decades.  Three capital improvement bonds have been passed so far and every school in the District has been upgraded by the work.
