Following are descriptions of student assessments used in PPS. Clicking on a logo will open a pop-up window with a description of the assessment, including a high-level overview of what scores mean. Below the descriptions is a table showing which assessments are given in PPS by grade level.

PPS strives to follow a balanced assessment approach for students, including formative, interim and summative. This table shows, by grade level, which assessment students take in PPS. For more information about specific assessments click on the assessment names below the table.

In PPS, student assessment is supported by two departments:

Office of Teaching and Learning (OTL)

Data and Accountability (D&A)

The department of Data and Accountability administers statewide and districtwide assessments.
