Family Resources

Family Advocates

Every PPS PreK family will be connected with a Family Advocate at their child’s site. Your FA is a wonderful resource for you as a caregiver. Your FA will meet with you two times during the school year for home visits. These home visits are opportunities to share helpful parenting information and provide an opportunity to create a Family Partnership plan that highlights strengths and goals for your family. They can assist with accessing resources in the community, problem solve and meet immediate needs for basic services, and help you learn more about your rights and roles as a parent in our PPS PreK program.

Like school districts across the nation, we are facing unprecedented disruption in the food supply chain that will likely cause menu changes with little notice. Please know that nurturing ALL children through quality food will continue to be our central mission. When menu changes become necessary, we will try to use replacement items that are as close to the posted menu as possible. We will make every effort to communicate with school communities and school nurses about these changes. Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
