Substitute Administrators

Welcome to the Portland Public School’s Substitute Administrator webpage. The purpose of this webpage is to provide information that will support and assist substitute administrators in PPS.

Employment Opportunities

Under the general supervision of a Senior Director, Substitute Administrators provide instructional leadership for an Elementary, Middle, PK-8, or High School campus while the regular full-time Administrator (Principal or Vice Principal/Assistant Principal) is unavailable. 

In order to be considered for a Substitute Administrator position, you must have retired from PPS in an administrator role or left in good standing from PPS in an administrator role, must have an active TSPC Administrator or Principal license, and submit an application to the current PPS Substitute Administrator job posting.
