Work Incentive Periods for Substitute Educators

Effective September 25, 2024 with the ratification of the PPS PAT Substitute contract, the District has established a Work Incentive for Substitutes who work 70% or 87% of the student contact days in the designated periods.

The three time periods and bonus eligibility for the 2025/26 school year are as follows:

The three time periods and bonus eligibility

Please note that two worked student contact half days are equal to one full student contact day. Sick days do not count towards the student contact days. In-Service days do not count towards student contact days.

Following the end of the Work Incentive Period, the Workforce Scheduling Office will review all assignments worked for eligibility. Following the review, all eligible Substitutes will be notified.

To review your current days worked, please access your Frontline account, and review your previous assignments under the History option.

Incentive Schools

If a substitute fulfills an assignment at district-designated schools, they will receive an incentive of at least fifteen (15) additional dollars for a full day and at least ten (10) additional dollars for a half day. The District may designate a school as an incentive school at any time, for the remainder of the school year. (13.D)

If/When incentive schools are designated for the school year, all current PPS Substitute Educators will be notified via email and this page will be updated to reflect the schools
