Professional Development & Professional Learning Request Process

In partnership with Professional Learning, Human Resources has launched a new process for requesting and scheduling professional development (PD) and learning opportunities.

To be considered for the 2026–2027 school year, all PD requests must be submitted before November 1, 2026. Requests received after this deadline will be considered for the 2027–2028 school year.

To submit a request, you'll be asked to provide:

  • The intended audience
  • Facilitator(s)
  • A brief overview of the training, learning targets, and success criteria
  • Alignment to District priorities, goals, or compliance requirements
  • Contract and compensation considerations, including the funding source

All submitted requests will be reviewed within three business days. To help ensure timely processing, please complete the form thoroughly. Incomplete or inaccurate requests may require additional follow-up and could delay approval.

Please review all email notifications from Smartsheet carefully, as they will include the status of your request (approved, denied, or requiring additional information) along with any next steps.

You can access the Professional Development Request Form here

For any questions or concerns regarding the request form, please contact the Workforce Development team, at hrtraining@pps.net and Dr. Kristin Moon, Director of Teacher Professional Learning, at kmoon@pps.net
