MTSS Implementation Data Tools

The following tools are used by each school in Portland Public Schools to assess current implementation and inform improvement plans.

School Team Self-Assessment

District-Provided Tools

  • Fidelity of Implementation Tool (FIT):  Administered by district-level MTSS staff, this full-day, on-site assessment is used to measure the extent of MTSS implementation for equity-based inclusive education.  Reliable and actionable data is used for district and building level decision making regarding current systemic practices.
  • Successful School Survey:  Administered annually to gather stakeholder data to inform school action planning for climate and culture.  Participants include students in grades 3 through 12, PPS families, staff and building leaders.
