Summer Meals
The district partners with Portland Parks and Recreation and SUN community Schools to provide summer meals to children in the community when school is not in session. All park locations are open to children ages 1-18 in the community. Start and end times for lunch vary by site. Meals must be eaten in the park. A full list of park sites with service times can be found below. Summer meals in the parks operate from Monday, June 22, 2026 through Friday, August 21, 2026.
In addition to SUN sites and parks, free meals are provided to students participating in the district’s summer scholars and summer academy programs. Menu information for meals in the park and at school locations can be found below.
Summer Free For All
Play for days at Free Lunch + Play, where kids come to share a meal together and have fun in the sun! Monday through Friday from 10am-2pm. Meals are provided by Portland Public Schools, Centennial School District, Parkrose School District and David Douglas School District and adhere to the USDA Federal Lunch Program rules and regulations.
