MissionThe Racial Equity and Social Justice Department bolsters the supports available to departments, programs, and systems, to create a sense of belonging for all Portland Public Schools students, by integrating equity into procedures, practices, and culture. By disrupting barriers through integrated community voice, our work strengthens culturally affirming and responsive services to achieve academic success, and advance learning outcomes for all PPS students.
