Comprehensive School Psychology Program

NASP Practice Model

 

What is the program? 

  • Federal School-Based Mental Health Grant providing a full-time school psychologist with National Association of School Psychologist (NASP) ratios of one school psychologist per 500 students. 
  • School year 2025/26 Grant schools include: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Cesar Chavez, Lent, Rigler, Rosa Parks, Scott, Sitton, Faubion, Grout, James John, Woodmere, George, Kelly, Lane, Marysville, Roseway Heights, Tubman, Whitman, Harrison Park, Woodlawn. 
  • Supervision of school psychologist intern or practicum students.

Program Highlights

24-45 School Year Comprehensive School Psychologist Program Services: 

  • School psychologist ratios at or below the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) ratio recommendation of 1:500 in 20 schools
  • School/classroom-wide mental health services to 6,108 students
  • 12,605 individual or group mental health services in addition to specialized services to students with disabilities 
  • 100 students receiving Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services to address anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide
