Why PPS Is Issuing an RFI
The District is using the RFI process to better understand the local healthcare landscape, identify organizations interested in school-based care, and begin early partnership planning ahead of the future Ida B. Wells campus opening.
Rather than moving directly into a formal procurement, PPS is seeking dialogue with providers now so the eventual health center can be thoughtfully designed around:
- Student and family healthcare needs
- Community demographics and access barriers
- Clinical sustainability
- Behavioral health integration
- Strong school-healthcare collaboration
- Long-term operational success
This approach gives providers a chance to engage early, ask questions, and help shape what a successful future partnership could look like.
