Welcome To Mail Services

The PONY is the District's mail and material delivery service.  What do the letters P-O-N-Y stand for?  Actually, it is not an acronym for anything.  It is a reference to the speedy Pony Express Couriers of the Wild West!

Our Pony Services Delivers materials and Pony mail safely, effectively and efficiently throughout the Portland Public School District. 

Mail Services meters mail and ditributes USPS, FedEx and UPS mail and all incoming mail throughout the  Portland Public School District. We also distribute mail to Multnomah County Library and MESD on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

CLOSURE DATES FOR MAIL SERVICES/PONY 

Mail Services will be closed due to Furlough days, June 9th and June 10th. There will be No Pony during these dates, mailing or metering from Mail Services. Our office will be CLOSED.

NO SUMMER PONY

Last day for regular Pony will be on June 17, 2026

We will resume regular Pony on August 17, 2026There will be No Summer Pony this 2026 School Year. If there is something that you need to go out or have picked up from your site during the Summer,  please contact the warehouse for a special pickup and they will arrange a pick up date for you. You can contact the warehouse at warehouse@pps.net.

CHANGES TO THE 2025-2026 PONY SCHEDULE

Virtual Scholars - RelocationEarly Childhood - Relocation

Virtual Scholars has moved from the  Holladay Annex site and is now located at the Meek Campus. Virtual Scholars will be on route 8, the Delivery days are on even days located on your updated Pony Schedule under Meek. On the Pony Route Schedule, you will find Virtual Scholars listed under Virtual Scholars @ Meek.

The Early Childhood Education Team is Relocating from the Holladay Annex site to Fabion.  Early Childhiood will be on the updated Pony Schedule  listed under Faubion on Route 8. The Pony delivery days for Early Childhood will be on Even Calendar days. On the Pony Route Schedule you willl find Early Childhood listed on Route 8 Under Early Childhiod @ Faubion. This will take effect  4/6/2026.
