    IMPORTANT CONTINUING ITEMS

    • STUDENTS and STAFF-If you are in a club or organization and wish to post signs around the school, this is a reminder to get APPROVAL from Mr. Dennis Joule BEFORE posting your signs-remember to allow 1-2 days for approval.  ALL signs without approval will be taken down.  Also, it is the responsibility of each club/organization to REMOVE the signs after the event.  Let’s keep our school looking clean and tidy! On the sign topic—only post signs on the bulletin boards, or by using the silver clamps throughout the school. There is an abundance of signage on non-approved walls and surfaces.  They are also in place with scotch tape and various other materials.  This will rip off the pains and mar the walls.  PLEASE, let’s keep our school looking nice!

    • There have been recent changes in how PPS determines the type of high school credit that a student can apply toward graduation requirements from having completed a course offered by another institution.  Students who want to apply courses taken at a college, university, or other institution toward their high school requirements should follow the transfer credit application process at least one month before they enroll in a non-PPS course.  The application process can be lengthy, so students should review the process carefully and see their counselor with any questions.

    •
    • Student REMINDER:  Let’s keep our school and grounds LOOKING BEAUTIFUL!  It is IMPERATIVE that you pick up after yourself and use the GARBAGE CANS, or hold on to your items until you find one. This goes for the neighborhood, school grounds, the hallways, and the track and field.  Be respectful please and pick it up!  Thank YOU for your assistance!
    • Attn:  Students-Do NOT leave ANYTHING UNATTENDED in the Locker Rooms. ALWAYS use a locker and LOCK your belongings away.  ONLY use a strong Masterlock type combo.  Do NOT use the colored type locks—they are NOT secure.  Keep an eye open and report any strange behavior.
    • Students:  Just a reminder that you can turn-in applications for Free/Reduced LUNCH anytime throughout the school year.  Applications are available on-line, or in the main office.  Please turn them in to the Cafeteria.  REMINDER: Please save your Free/Reduced Approval letter from Nutrition Services. This is the letter that you will need to receive reduced prices on SPORTS FEES, NIGHT SCHOOL, AP and other TESTING FEES, ETC.  The Cafeteria Staff is unable to give out the Eligibility forms at this time so you will need to call 503-916-3402 to get a replacement letter mailed to you.
    • Students and Staff-Student Visitors are NOT allowed for any REASON on campus during the school day EVER.  ALL visitors MUST check-in at the MAIN OFFICE.
