The SUN School program will soon begin at Roosevelt High School.
We are excited to continue to offer fun activities, skill building and job readiness opportunities, and academic support and enrichment for our students after school.
*Through programming that includes student affinity groups like MEChA, Hmong, Roosevelt American Indian Nation, Pacific Islander Club and soon a Black Student Union.
*Student interests, community, and fun: dinner club-FREE FOOD, Ping Pong, Drama, Queer Straight Alliance, and African Culture Club.
*Programming that supports students’ academic success like FREE TUTORING: Monday – Thursday for Math, Science, English, and Humanities our National Honors Society. We also offer programming that supports success during the school year and beyond like our Future Professionals Club and those listed below.
Fall Jobs 101: Are you interested in learning valuable job-search skills? Do you want a part-time job? Urban Opportunities wants to you to learn the skills while you finish high school!
Pathways to Manufacturing: Working with Portland area high schools and industry partners to create pathways to high wage careers in advanced manufacturing and skilled trades.
We are proud to be continuing to partner with organizations in our community: Self Enhancement Inc., Latino Network, Hacienda, IRCO, Gear Up, Step Up, Impact NW, and University of Portland.
