Grant High School names Kristen Crawford as its’ new Head Softball Coach
We are excited to announce the hiring of Kristen Crawford as the Head Softball Coach at Grant High School. Kristen is an Oregon native, growing up in Pendleton, and attending Pendleton High School. During her high school career, she helped lead Pendleton to the state championship game during her junior and senior year, winning the state championship as a senior. Crawford was 1st team all conference and pitcher of the year during her junior and senior seasons. Kristen also earned Oregon 5A Pitcher of the Year, 5A Championship game MVP, and First Team All-State Pitcher her senior year. At the collegiate level, she played two years at Mt. Hood Community College, where she was a two time NWAACC First Team and 2014 Pitcher of the Year. She was 35-3 with a 1.81 ERA in two years at Mt. Hood. Kristen then continued her playing career at Portland State University, where she was an Honorable Mention All Big Sky pitcher in 2015. She graduated from Portland State with a Bachelor in Science in Communications in 2016.
Crawford has coaching experience in the USA Softball (formerly ASA) as well as work experience as a regional manager for Orangetheory Fitness. She currently serves as a mentor coach for business owners specifically in the fitness and wellness industry.
Kristen is thrilled to bring her diverse background and expertise to Grant High School's Softball program. She is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and personal development among the student-athletes while ensuring a competitive edge for the team. Her family is excited to work within the Grant community, while maintaining strong partnerships and developing hardworking student-athletes but also respectable young women to serve our community and world as outstanding citizens.
