Library classes begin the second week of school. Students visit the library once a week with their classroom. Books are due each week, the day before students have library. The library is open on Wednesdays and Fridays for students to return and check-out on their own time or come down to do research.
End of Year Information:
All K-2 library books are due on May 19th.
All 3-5 library books are due on May 24th.
Library ends on June 8th.
Any library books not returned by June 2nd are considered lost. A notice will go home with students or Ms. Leblanc will call families. If you cannot find your book please pay the replacement cost by the last day of school 6/15/2017. The library will be open until 6/28/2017 if you need to return lost materials and pay fees. Library fees carry over to the next school year so be sure to clear your student's account before September.
Check to see if Grout library FINALLY has the book you have been waiting for! Open the online catalog, type in "grout" and click on the blue underlined link. Once the search page opens, type in your search words and click on title, author, subject, or keyword. If you need help please see Ms. LeBlanc or Ms. Hamilton.

World Book encyclopedia is now online and FREE for all Portland Public School families! Use it at school or use it at home! You will need to get the login and password from Mrs. Hamilton in the library before you can access it at home.

Accelerated Reader is no longer supported at Grout as of 2016-2017. We still have the books if students/staff want to check them out, but there is no longer access to accounts or the quizzes.
