     What's Happening In The Library?

    Students visit the library once a week with their classroom. Books are due each week.

     

    End of Year Information:

    All K-2 library books are due

    All 3-5 library books are due

    Library ends on

    Any library books not returned by ________ are considered lost. A notice will go home with students or Ms. Leblanc will call families. If you cannot find your book please pay the replacement cost by the last day of school ________. The library will be open until ________ if you need to return lost materials and pay fees. Library fees carry over to the next school year so be sure to clear your student's account before September 2018.

    Grout Library Catalog

    Check to see if Grout library FINALLY has the book you have been waiting for! Open the online catalog, type in "grout" and click on the blue underlined link. Once the search page opens, type in your search words and click on title, author, subject, or keyword. If you need help please see the library staff.

     

    Multnomah County Library Catalog

    Multnomah County Library is the oldest public library west of the Mississippi, with a history that reaches back to 1864. Today, Central Library and the other 18 neighborhood libraries that make up the library system house about 700 computer search stations for the public and a collection of two million books and other library materials.As Oregon's largest public library, Multnomah County Library serves nearly one-fifth of the state's population with a wide variety of programs and services.

    Need help with your homework? Go to the MCL homework center and access databases with online newspaper and magazine articles or find websites about your specific topic.

     

    World Book Online

    World Book encyclopedia is now online and FREE for all Portland Public School families! Use it at school or use it at home! You will need to get the login and password from Mrs. Hamilton in the library before you can access it at home.

    Accelerated Reader is no longer supported at Grout as of 2016-2017. We still have the books if students/staff want to check them out, but there is no longer access to accounts or the quizzes.
