Cheri Spanier is a Southeast Portland native, who now resides in Vancouver, WA. A class of 1994 graduate of Franklin High School. Her major achievement to date is working for Portland Public Schools in the Special Education Department as a Paraeducator in a Intsv. Skills Center Classroom. Cheri has been employed by the district for 17 years and all have been at Cleveland High School. Cheri spends four weeks each summer working for the districts Extended School Year ( E.S.Y. ) and continuing her role as a paraeducator. Cheri’s past community involvement was a Pittock Mansion volunteer tour guide for ten years.
Cheri’s personal life includes her marriage to her husband of eleven years and her two pure-breed male beagles. Cheri is an Elk and full union member and loves to travel. Participation in the disticts Focus on Diversity Film and Lecture Series is an important piece to Cheri with keeping informed with community discussions.
