A little about Teacher Tammy... I am a native Oregonian and have been planted in Portland the entire time.   My undergraduate and master's degrees are from Portland State University, where I majored in Elementary Education and minored psychology and geology.  I have been teaching elementary and early childhood education for about twelve years, with a few of those years spent substituting or being an assistant while I focused on raising my three beautiful boys.   As a teacher I love being able to create a foundation of learning.  A space where children feel safe and welcome to engage in the joy of learning.  In my free time I love spending time with my family and being outside in my garden or hiking.  If I can't get outside, I enjoy music, reading and cooking.
