Megan Jackson

Megan Jackson is currently an instructional specialist in Ida. B Wells High School. Jackson used to teach Avid and Health at Wells-Barnett. Jackson helps with coordinating the Avid Program and 9th grade communities. Megan Jackson is the oldest sibling from her two younger brothers, living in Oregon all of her life. Ever since her childhood, Megan Jackson has always been passionate about and very involved in school. She was very invested and involved in clubs, sports, and activities, and was the local ambassador at her university. Her professional career started at Eastern Oregon University, where she studied to be a nurse, but decided to become a teacher instead. For her teaching career Jackson also holds a bachelor degree in health and PE.  Ms. Jackson has a master’s degree in teaching math. Jackson is currently getting a master’s degree in educational leadership. Some of Jackson's favorite hobbies are cooking, yoga, and having friends come over to the backyard. She loves cooking pasta,  pesto, and gluten-free baked goods, and enjoys popcorn with a little bit of butter and salt. Jackson also coached high school softball for a bit, and played softball in college. Jackson lives outside of Portland, 14 miles away, and makes the commute every day.
