Nabilah grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and attended Hollywood Hills High School where she was inspired to become an educator herself. She then studied Secondary English Education at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and obtained her Bachelor's degree. Before Wilson High School she worked as a preschool assistant and a second grade teacher. She was also an English teacher at Port St. Lucie High School for two years and has taught English I, English IV, ESOL English and AP English Language & Composition. She moved to Oregon for the rainy weather, waterfalls, and bookstores and thinks coffee is a basic food group.
