Ms. Smead provides mental health services to special education students at Ida B. Wells. Ms. Smead grew up in Hawaii and ended up moving to Portland in 1988 where she got a graduate in counseling psychology at Lewis and Clark. For her undergraduate work, she studied psychology at the University of Hawaii. She has been with PPS for 16 years and at Wells for 5. In her free time, Ms. Smead enjoys gardening, taking walks, and listening to music of all kinds. She also loves the students she works with who “bring insight into what it feels like to be young in today’s world.”
