Kristy Mize, originally from California, has worked in education for over fourteen years before coming to Cleveland High School. After receiving a BA in English from UC Davis, Kristy began her teaching career in ESL and ELA in Sacramento.
After pursuing her Master's Degree in English, Kristy took increasing responsibility as a specialist in Language Arts. In 2011, Kristy moved to Oregon to be closer to family and worked as a TOSA in Salem- Keizer and Hillsboro before accepting her first position as a principal at a charter school. In her life outside of Cleveland, Kristy is working on her doctoral degree in Education Leadership, and enjoys spending time with her six children and husband.
