Introduction
Angel Gutierrez
College Coordinator
Office: Library, Room 117D
Hello Everyone,
My name is Angel Gutierrez and I am the College Coordinator for Roosevelt High School. I attended Roosevelt and graduated in 2011, I went on to be the first in my family to attend and graduate from university. It took many resources and support for my family to get through college application process. I am grateful for all the support we received and am excited to be able to support all of you in your college application journeys. Since the college application process mostly starts your senior year I work closely with seniors, but I am also available to all grade levels.

MaiaLearning Platform
Helping nearly 300 seniors with their college applications is difficult, luckily we have a tool to help us. MaiaLearning is a website that allows you to: add colleges to your applying list, request transcripts, request letters of recommendation, and more. To access MaiaLearning go to the website here, and login using your PPS login.
Below are various MaiaLearning guides for students:

Building a University List
- VIDEO: University Search Overview for Students
- Add Universities to Considering List (Student Instructions)
The Application Process
Students submit their applications outside of MaiaLearning - through application systems like the Common App or Coalition, or directly to the institutions. The following help articles outline how students track their applications in MaiaLearning and how to request/notify counselors and teachers to send supporting documents.
- Link student's Common App accounts to MaiaLearning
- Students request recommendations
