I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and currently live in SE Portland with my husband and our two dogs. I have worked with children most of my life, starting as a babysitter and tutor before working in schools as an aide and skills trainer. I worked in a variety of education and mental health settings as a child and family therapist for a few years before returning to school to get my Master's in Teaching from Concordia University.
