Near Peer Mentor Program

WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING NEAR PEER MENTORS TO SERVE IN OUR HIGH SCHOOLS FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR!

As a culturally sustaining pedagogical practice and a high school success strategy, near peer mentors work collaboratively with Partner Teachers to enrich classroom content and transform teaching practices as a classroom-based intervention.  Near peer mentors build positive relationships with students to increase engagement, model and support development of successful academic behaviors, and share lived experience in order to connect classroom content to their personal college and career journey.

Near Peer Mentors currently serve in all nine comprehensive high schools.
