Nathan Whitney is the Health Occupations teacher. He grew up in Northern California and went to Portland State and Portland Community College for his bachelor in criminology. He felt like he should pay forward the good teachers and professors he had by becoming a teacher. Mr. Whitney is also a full-time paramedic when he's not teaching on B days. He previously taught at the college level but is now here for his first year at IBW. He loves hiking, camping, mountain biking, and snowboarding with his wife and dog (Oberan Kenobi or Obi). He loves getting feedback from students and staff as it helps him learn and become a better teacher.
