Back-to-School Picnic and Curriculum Night
On Monday, July 28, we held our first annual Back-to-School Picnic and Curriculum Night. Teachers, staff, students and their families flooded the front lawn as they enjoyed a picnic-style dinner and important announcements from Ms. Newsome and Ms. Williams. Families then went to their child's classrooms to meet their teachers, see their classrooms and sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences that are in August. It was a fun night and a great way to kick of the start of a great year! Check out more photos on our Facebook page!
Back-to-School Parade
Teachers, staff, Boys and Girls Club Cheerleaders, and several students flooded the streets of New Columbia on Thursday, July 17 to remind students that school starts on July 21! The staff made signs and banners and carried musical instruments as they walked the streets and greeted community members and several of their students. The community received the parade well with many families waving from their front porches or cheering from their windows. Rosa Parks is excited to be jumping back into school early this year! Check out the video of our parade below!
