    Future You 2 Go Attendance and Participation

    • Future You 2 Go are PPS sponsored events, hosted by the PPS Office of Career & Technical Education.
    • Students’ participation and attendance is very important as these career awareness opportunities will expose them to a wide variety of careers and postsecondary options.
    • Students’ attendance will be tracked and reported to schools to excuse students for missing Office Hours, Applied Learning, or Small Group Instruction times.

    The design drafter is a skilled technician who starts with a concept and develops the working drawings and digital models required to guide the production of items such as:

    • Structural details
    • Important tools

One of her clients was the Portland Timbers. This connection led to a position with the Timbers that lasted ten years. Multi Media -This program is designed to provide individuals with the entry-level skills and experience needed for employment in a wide variety of professional opportunities such as a multimedia associate producer, interface designer, digital video specialist, motion graphic artist, digital compositor, 3D artist, multimedia graphic production artist, multimedia project manager, and more.     Are you interested in a career as an electrician? Join us for this session to learn about the details of an electrician's career, how to get into an apprenticeship and the "day in the life" of an electrical apprentice. "Thinking about a career as an electrician but aren’t sure where to begin? You should consider an electrician apprenticeship. It’s the perfect way to get grounded in the basics of electrical contracting work and the electrical industry as a whole."

    And the future looks bright, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, who report that “employment of electricians is projected to grow 10 percent from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations. Increases in construction spending and demand for alternative energy sources will drive demand for electricians.” Connected Careers-Electrician, Construction and Business.
