Good Afternoon Families of Lane 6th and 7th Graders,

The end of our school year is quickly approaching. What a year it has been! Classes for all PPS students end on June 10, 2020 for summer break. Here are a few important notes for your information.

Students will be able to keep their district-loaned devices over the summer, but must return all textbooks and band instruments. See below for more information.

    2019 - 2020 Lane MS Yearbook

Because we will not be able to sell our school yearbook in person this year, it is available for purchase online here. The cost is $9.99 + $4.75 shipping, direct to your home. Free electronic copies are also available at the same storefront. The yearbook will also be available for purchase when we are back in the school building next year.

Locker Possessions, Textbooks and Band Instruments

We have collected and bagged all student possessions that were left in lockers. Please see the schedule below to know when you can come pick up your students possession. Because lockers are shared, you may have to look through a bag that also contains other students' possessions. Please come to the front of the school to pick up and drop off items.

This will also be a time for families to drop off textbooks, band instruments and band music. Please remember that these items are checked out to your family and will incur a cost if they are not returned.

    Grade Day Time
    6th Grade Monday, June 8 9 - 12, 1 - 3
    7th Grade Tuesday, June 9 9 - 12, 1 - 3
    8th Grade Wednesday, June 10 9 - 12, 1 - 3

    8th Grade Promotion Celebration

On Tuesday, June 9th, we will be celebrating the promotion of our 8th grade students to high school with an online program and car parade. We would love to have all of our community celebrate them along the parade route. The parade will begin for 8th grade families at Lane at 6:00 pm. We will lead family cars on a parade route through our neighborhood. See the parade route here. Please consider finding a convenient and safe spot along the route to cheer on our promoting 8th grade students.

Please let me know if you have any questions or needs. You can reach me by replying to this email or calling or texting at 971-678-9700. See you all soon! Be safe, be well.

    Sincerely,
    Michael Rowell, Principal
    Lane Middle School
