Dear Rieke Rocket community,

Can you believe there are now less than 10 days of school left this year? It has been a long but great year and we all at Rieke thank you for your support, empathy, and consistent efforts in trusting us with your precious children. We are very proud of our work this year! Please join us tomorrow morning if you were a volunteer in any way this year. Our latest Rieke Video News show will be up on our YouTube channel by dinner time tonight. Volunteer appreciation: This Friday morning, June 2nd, we invite ALL of our volunteers to join us as we celebrate and thank you for everything you do to help make Rieke a better place for our students, staff, and the community. We will host this event in our gym right after the starting bell, from 8:45-9:15. Did you volunteer in classrooms, at lunch, as a reading buddy, on a field trip, on the Auction, auction art projects, helping with STEM night or the Art Fair or the Science Fair? And even other volunteer efforts like Campus Clean Up Day? If so, please join us Friday morning June 2nd. We will have coffee and some treats as well as some small gifts of appreciation for all you do. The Rieke PTA does an amazing job of helping us with our volunteer efforts. www.riekepta.org  

Speaking of volunteer needs, we are looking for some parents to help supervise students during the annual 5th grade vs Staff kickball game Wednesday June 7th. The game will be played from 9:40-10:30 on the diamond. We need volunteers to help watch the younger students on the playground while staff plays in the game.

Field Day: We are having an all student Field Day on Monday June 12th to celebrate fitness and wellness at Rieke. Thank you to Coach V for putting this afternoon event together. On Monday, June 5th at the end of the day we will be celebrating the Rieke Way with an all school assembly. We will be honoring students who will be recognized for their creativity. The assembly will start at 2:35 until the final 3:00 bell. All are invited, but some of you will be receiving special invites from your child’s teacher. Our final Rieke Way assembly will be the last day of school, June 14th. That will be first thing in the morning to recognize June award winners for demonstrating perseverance.
