• Bridger BeesWax Wraps

At Bridger, Miss Shonkwiler’s fifth-grade class is passionate about saving the planet. Some of the 11-year-olds even call themselves climate activists. Their activism includes spearheading recycling efforts at their school, and making bees wax wraps. The wraps are a replacement for plastic that is polluting the oceans and killing animals. So far, the students have raised $4,500 for a field trip later this spring to the Oregon Coast. On the beach they plan to continue their work by tracking and removing plastic for the Surfrider Foundation.
