    Seniors if you missed the 60 Day Rule Assembly and have not signed your contract.  See Sorena in the Attendance Office as soon as possible.
     

    60 Day Commencement Disqualification

    **BEGINS April 1, 2019**

     

    School Board Policies:

     

    3.20.016 "SENIOR SKIP DAYS":  In addition to interrupting instruction, are a source of concern because of the apparent proneness of participants to accidents during such occasions. Portland schools shall grant no approval for such events. Students participating in "skip days" should be considered truant and disciplined in accordance with the usual regulations and procedures for student truancy.

     

    4.30.022 COMMENCEMENT DISQUALIFICATION Requiring that seniors be disqualified from participation in commencement exercises and related activities if with 60 consecutive calendar days of the last senior school day they are found to be in violation of District Alcohol or Drug policy or any violation resulting in three or more days of suspension or more serious disciplinary action.

     

    COMMENCEMENT APPAREL EXPECTATION:  All students must wear caps and gowns. Because this is a formal occasion, students should wear appropriate attire under their gown. Men should wear long pants and women should wear dresses, skirts, or dress pants NO decorations are allowed on the caps or gowns.

     

    PROM GUEST POLICY:   Any visitor 18 to 20 years of age, not attending high school, must meet with a Franklin High School administrator to obtain an additional district clearance form. That form and a copy of the guest’s Oregon Identification Card will be required for consideration to attend the Prom.

     

    Franklin High School’s Dance Permission Form for Non-Franklin Students must be taken to your guest’s school in order to obtain those necessary signatures. This form (FHS) Clearance Form must be returned to the Vice Principal’s office by Tuesday, May 14, 2019 (4 days prior to Prom Date) NO EXCEPTIONS!
