    Below is a list of some tools available for families and community members to get information about what’s going on at Hosford.

    Canvas: https://www.pps.net/canvas

    This is the classroom platform for grades 6-12. You will be able to see your students’ assignments and due dates and be able to email their teachers. This platform gives you a real-time look at your child’s progress in their classes whereas ParentVue gives you their grades once all assignments are turned in.

    Synergy ParentVue: https://parent-portland.cascadetech.org/portland/

    This tool can be used to access your student’s grades, attendance, information, and also to communicate with teachers. Students will have access to the same information using Synergy StudentVue.

    School Messenger:

    This tool is used to send email and text messages when there is an urgent notice from Hosford Middle School.

    PTSA Listserv:

    This is a Google Group that is managed by PTSA volunteers and serves as a place for Hosford parents to connect. Request to become a member at https://groups.google.com/g/hosfordmiddleschool/; your request will be approved within 24-48 hours.

    A secure online web tool that allows PPS families to pay for items such as registration fees, athletic fees, event tickets, uniforms, library fees, and make donations without having to make a special trip to the school or send a check with their students.

    SchoolCafé: https://www.schoolcafe.com/

    A safe, secure online payment system that can be used to manage PPS student meal accounts. Families can make one-time payments or set up autopay, set up low balance alerts and submit/track a free or reduced meal application.

    Safe Oregon: https://www.safeoregon.com/

    SafeOregon is a program created for Oregon students, parents, school staff, community members and law enforcement officers to report and respond to safety threats.
