• Summer SUN School

    Summer 2024
    JMS/RGMS SUN School Registration
General Information for Parents:  Families must designate how students are allowed to travel home after Summer SUN school programming (e.g. parent pick-up, or walk home).  Pick up and drop off occurs in the turn-around driveway in the front of the school. Unfortunately, there is no transportation for this program, but please reach out to us for support with setting up a carpool. Tri-Met bus tickets are also available. If you will be late picking up your child, please provide prior notice. We do not alert parents if students do not attend SUN unless requested in advance.

Camp information: Classes this session are:

Week 1: July 8th-July 11th: Dungeons and Dragons, Drama, and Parkour

Week 2: July 15-July 18th:  Dungeons and Dragons, Drama, and Parkour

Week 3:  July 22nd-July 25th: AKA Science: Fun Physics,  Dungeons and Dragons, Drama, and Parkour

Week 4:  July 29th- August 1st: AKA Science: Environmental Science-Planet Power!  Dungeons and Dragons, Drama, and Parkour

All summer SUN classes will run from 9:30am-12pm at JACKSON.  We will be hosting classes Monday-Thursday, and will not have classes on Friday. Class sizes will be strictly limited and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Waitlists will be started after class sizes are at capacity. Strict adherence to sanitation procedures will be enforced with all staff, students, and volunteers.

Please be advised that Jackson Middle School does not have air conditioning and indoor temps can be extremely warm even on cooler summer days. You will need to watch your emails and texts to be alerted if we have to cancel afternoon program at any point.
Due to the building having inadequate air flow systems, we advise your child to bring water bottles, a towel and cooling rags/items! We all need to stay hydrated and have a little fun in the heat.

    Communicating with the SUN School:
Confirmation emails are sent as soon as the applications are received and there is room in the class. Please make sure your email is spelled correctly when completing this form.  If you prefer communications regarding your child(ren) are done only by phone, or email please indicate below. You can always reach the Jackson Middle School SUN site manager at loneill@impactnw.org or by phone at 503-679-1545. Reach the Robert Gray SUN site manager at aguzman@impactnw.org or by phone at 503-548-8948.

Program Participation Fees: There will be no program participation fees for the SUN summer programming. However, we welcome and greatly appreciate any donations that families are generous enough to offer to the Jackson and Robert Gray SUN School Programs. Payment is tax deductible.
