    Socks and SnacksDrive

    December 2nd-20th 

    Socks and Snacks Drive:

    Our 4th and 5th Grade Kelly Leadership Team is collecting new/unused socks, gloves, warm hats, and packaged food items to donate to Homeless Family Solutions.  If you'd like to donate, there will be marked boxes by the Kelly Main Office.


    Thank-You Challenge:

    To help recognize Gratitude and Generosity Month, the 4th and 5th grade leadership team is challenging all students to say thank-you to adults who help them.  Our main focus will be the breakfast and lunch lines as our cafeteria staff works hard to make sure all students are fed. Let's all join together to make sure we show them appreciation with a thank you!


    Weatherization Workshop (registration required in advance)

    Date: Wednesday, December 4th, 2019

    Location: Kelly Cafeteria

    Make your heating work smarter, not harder this season.  Lower your energy bills, stay comfortable in your home, and save natural resources.  Qualified participants receive a FREE kit of supplies.

    Kelly Families Free Portrait Event 

    On Saturday, December 7th, your PTA is sponsoring a day of free Professional Portraits for Kelly Families. If you have a student at Kelly or are a Kelly staff member you can sign up for a session with a photographer. Schedule your family’s free portrait appointment by emailing clintonkellypta@gmail.com. Free Professional Headshots are also available on a walk-in basis between 9am-Noon. The event is open until all appointments are full. There is limited availability for photo sessions. The remaining appointments are available in 15 minute slots between noon and 3pm. Once we fill the appointments, booking will be closed for this event. Please email your Clinton Kelly PTA with any questions.


    The Annual Kelly Talent Show is Coming; December 19th?


    Come and listen to our kids perform on our brand new sound system! We met our 2018-2019 Fun Run fund-raising goal and will have a new system installed just in time for the 2019 Talent Show! 


    When: The evening of Thursday, December 19th

    What’s my talent? Students can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, perform a skit, do a magic or comedy routine, present art, Taekwon-do, or anything fun and entertaining that you want to share with our audience!

    Who: You may perform by yourself or with friends!

    Auditions: What do I need to know?

    • Auditions will be held mid-November
    • You must be prepared with your choice of music and/or your routine
    • Each act must be no longer than 2 minutes!

    Kelly Food Pantry needs volunteers!

    You want to help and give to your community?  Join us and help in the Kelly Food Pantry. Things needing help with: restocking, checking expiration dates, unloading Portland Food Project food and Oregon Food Bank orders.

    You want to give to our community?  There is no better event then the Portland Food Project (PFP).  Every two months on the second Saturday of the month community members bring in thousands of pounds of food that gets distributed to over 16 pantries in the Portland area. KELLY FOOD PANTRY IS ONE OF THEM.  Join us this upcoming Saturday and help not just our Kelly families but also the community, as our pantry is opened to everyone.




    SUN Office 

    Located at Kelly Center Head Start building in room #28.  If you have questions about the SUN programing, are in need of support with housing, rental, electricity, water or you need more information about resources available in the community the SUN Office is the place to go.  You can contact SUN Site Manager Cristina Helvie at cristina@latnet.org or (503)780-9813.


    P-3 Coordinator Office 

    Located at Kelly Center Head Start Building in room #29. Here you can connect with Emma Mauermann about early learning opportunities/information, kindergarten transition supports, adult classes, community resources and more. The space is often available as a meeting space when needed and there is a laptop with a wifi for community use.     Parent Resource Room 

    Located at Kelly Center Head Start building in room #28 has access to internet, free meeting space with a child-friendly area, opportunities to connect with other parents and SUN staff, receive valuable information about the school, available resources, SUN programming and more.


    Food Pantry 

    Located at Kelly Center Head Start building in room 15 is open on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 3:30pm-5:00pm unless otherwise noted. If you are in need of food we are here to support you. The pantry is open to the entire community and no pre-registration or proof of income is required. If you are interested in volunteering in our pantry, please contact Daniel Romero, Food Pantry Assistant, at daniel@latnet.org or Cristina Helvie, SUN Site Manager, at cristina@latnet.org or (503) 780-9813.



    This is a facilitated play group for parents to come play and learn alongside their children and connect with other parents in a supportive environment. At least one adult must participate with each child. Snacks are provided. Feel free to register beforehand, or just show up!
