It is hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the 20-21 school year! During the Fall semester, our students, staff and families have worked hard to make Comprehensive Distance Learning engaging, relevant and manageable. We wish our whole Kelly Community a safe, relaxing break and can’t wait to see you in the New Year!News
Non-Student Days: Monday, December 21 - Friday, January 1; Students return Monday, January 4, 2021
Material distribution every Wednesday, 9am-12pm and 1-4pm on student days. Remember to wear a face covering and practice physical distancing of at least 6 feet. This occurs when students are in school and not during breaks.
Grades 4-5 Storytime with Ms. Emily: Any 4th and 5th grade student can join Ms. Emily on Fridays, 11:40am-12pm for storytime. Students can join the Google Meet, ‘kellystorytime’
Food Pantry is open at Kelly - every Monday, 3-4:30 p.m. The food pantry will be open on Mondays when there is school for students. Please wear a mask and follow all COVID guidelines and procedures.
Growing Gardens Family Newsletter
ParentVue Verification: please make sure to visit this website to verify your student’s information in ParentVue. This allows you access to attendance, schedule, etc. It also ensures that we have accurate contact information for you.
Chess for Success: please take a look at this flyer (Russian) if you are interested in signing your student up for an online chess program through our community partner, Chess for Success.
Grab and Go meal distribution will be here at Kelly Elementary from 3-4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Meal distribution will be a drive-thru or walk-up service and families can access this through the staff parking lot. Meals are provided FREE for all children, ages 1-18. Please wear a mask and follow all COVID guidelines and procedures.
APANO Food Security Program: Now accepting applications here: https://www.jotform.com/form/203011370423033. The purpose of this program is to support households experiencing food insecurity by providing a gift certificate that can be used at a local BIPOC owned and operated restaurant in the Portland/Metro area. A Google Map of participating restaurants can be found here: bit.ly/APANOFoodSecurityRestaurants.
Thanks to our generous friends at Lyft, The Fund for Portland Public Schools is making available $20-25 in Lyft ride credits to PPS families. In keeping with the guidance set out by the Oregon Governor, we kindly ask that these rides credits are used only to address critical and essential needs. Lyft Code Request Form.
