    Schoolwide Flipgrid “My Family Culture”

This month, classrooms have been taking some time to explore the theme of “Alike and Different” and we’d like to engage all our students in a school wide community building activity tied to this theme. Look for a Seesaw activity in your child’s Seesaw classroom this upcoming week using a tool called Flipgrid.  Flipgrid is a video based tool that allows students to make short videos on a topic and create video responses to others.  The activity will be called “My Family Culture”.  Students are asked to make a short video sharing an important tradition or aspect of their family culture. Once other students have uploaded videos, they can respond to each other by identifying things they have in common or interesting things they’ve learned about each other.   We can’t wait to learn more about the wonderful diverse cultures of Kelly!

    Limited In Person Instruction (LIPI)

The district is working with our administration team to define a limited in person instruction program at Kelly, which may start in February.  Limited in person instruction (LIPI) at Kelly would be in the afternoon for 2 hours per day in groups of no larger than 15 based on the size of our classrooms and ability to physically distance.  Students will participate via invitation and are not required to attend. We anticipate having more details to share with the community in the upcoming weeks.
