    Hello Senators and Parents, Here's a list of career day events for the month of February.

    Stop by the College & Career Center for applications for any of the following events. Also, remember space is limited and will fill quickly so sign up now!
    SAVE THE DATE:   Family College Night, February 26th from 5:30-7:30.
    5:30-6 -- meet with 2 and 4yr colleges both private and public from Oregon.
    6-7:30 -- pizza and a presentation covering 4 topics: Choosing the Right College, Financial Aid, How College Can Change Your Life, and College Scholarships.

    Feb. 7 - Instrument, 9:30am - 12:30pm, Location: 3529 N. Williams., Portland, OR

    Dream of a career using your creativity? 

    Visit the stunning offices of this Portland digital creative agency, with clients including brands such as Nike, Google, Stumptown and Levi's. Hear from every discipline involved in creating digital experiences and participate in a workshop about solving strategic and design challenges and pitching ideas to clients. Learn about the skills and education needed to pursue careers doing art direction, creating innovative content, and helping businesses tell their stories.

    Feb. 8 - Kaiser Permanente Simulation Lab, 9:00am-12:00pm, Location: 10180 SE Sunnyside Rd, Clackamas, OR

    Dream of a career in construction management?

    Get the behind-the-scenes look at learning to work with patients. Tour Kaiser's high-tech simulation lab used for training real medical professionals, and witness or participate in a real simulation. Meet professionals, hear about their career paths, plus the skills and education needed to be successful in health care careers.

    Feb. 13. - Daimler Trucks, 9:00am - 12:30pm; Location: 4555 N. Channel Ave., Portland, OR

    Learn about the fast-paced careers at Daimler Trucks!

    Go behind-the-scenes at Daimler to look into business, engineering, and manufacturing at the world's largest maker of high-tech rigs and commercial vehicles. See how they are using innovation to change mobility, including advances in auto-pilot driving.

    Learn about the skills, education, and experience needed to be successful in a variety of engineering, manufacturing, finance and business careers. Visit the mock-up center with trucks and 3D printers. Participate in a build your own truck activity where students get a budget and materials to build a vehicle that can meet certain performance criteria.

    Feb. 13 - AWS Elemental, 1:00pm-4:00pm; Location: 1320 SW Broadway, Suite 400, Portland, OR 

    Dream of working at a cool Portland tech company? 

    Visit one of the city's leading software companies, co-founded by a former Oregon student and purchased by Amazon. Participate in an Hour of Code activity - accessible to all experience levels. Explore the diversity of jobs within this tech company and learn about the education and skills needed for a career in the tech world.

    Feb. 27 - Legacy Health Nursing Sim Lab Career Day, 9:00am - 12:00pm; Location: 2801 N. Gantenbien Ave., Portland, OR 97227

    Spend the morning at Legacy Health!

    Join the experts and professionals at Legacy for a close look into the world of health care. Tour the high-tech nursing sim lab and participate in a hands-on simulation with mannequins to learn life-saving skills. 

    Lunch will be provided.
