    Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Portland Public Schools is entering into a partnership with Securly to provide parents and caregivers with the ability to monitor and restrict their student’s activities while logged in with their District Google account. This service will be available on top of the filters and restrictions PPS already uses to block inappropriate content.

Securly will be available to parents and caregivers of students at Marysville and Harrison Park schools on a pilot basis starting January 20. This service will be accessible via Android and iPhone/iPad apps or at securly.com/parent-login. Please note that Securly is only available in English, but the content at securly.com can be translated using the Translate tool in the Chrome browser. We will follow up with additional instructions when Securly goes live at Marysville and Harrison Park on January 20.

As a fundamental part of our partnership, Securly is bound to strict student data privacy restrictions, including  FERPA and COPPA. Our agreement ensures that student data will not be shared, leaked, or sold to  advertisers or any other entities.

For additional information, please visit pps.net/securly. If you have any questions or concerns, please email support@pps.net

    Thank you!
