• Welcome to Woodstock Incoming Kindergarten Families

Hello Families of Incoming Woodstock Kindergarten Students,

Welcome to Woodstock! We are excited your child will be joining us in the fall. Knowing this is such an important year and that we are in a new era of education, I wanted to reach out and connect with you all as we begin to approach the fall.

It is great to see both new families and younger siblings of current students joining our school.

I’m very proud to be a part of the Woodstock community and, as the last several months forced us to think about education in a very different way, I’ve been able to see how our Woodstock teachers and support staff responded in a way that only strengthens my sense of pride.

Currently, the district is reviewing the state’s educational guidance and discussing possible instructional scenarios to best meet the needs of all learners. We anticipate some additional local guidance in the coming weeks. However, even during the summer break, many of our teachers are engaging in professional development to enhance their ability to connect with students and families both in-person and virtually.

As we wait for a definitive instructional model from the district, we’d like to remind families to complete any registration paperwork so we can properly enroll your child. For families living outside of the Woodstock Neighborhood boundary that are entering the Mandarin Immersion Program (MIP), please remember to submit your registration through your neighborhood school. This is an important piece to make sure we can properly link your child to the Woodstock MIP.

If you have any questions about the enrollment process or registration materials, please email WoodstockAttend@pps.net.

Typically at this time, I’d be sharing information about summer gatherings and opportunities to meet staff, parent organizations representatives, and other Woodstock families. With the social gathering restrictions, we are, unfortunately, not able to schedule those at this time. However, I’d like to make sure you know that you can contact me with questions or concerns about the upcoming school year.

I will do my best to share updates with you when appropriate.

In closing, I’d like to reiterate our excitement to work with your child and your family this fall. I know the uncertainties of the upcoming school year can be daunting, but I’m certain that we have a caring staff that will do their best to make your child’s experience at Woodstock positive.

    With Woodstock Pride,
